Discussion on the effect of architectural glass membrane in building energy-saving renovation
To summarize briefly, in addition to the main feature of energy saving, architectural glass film also has the following six advantages:
1. Economy. Existing tempered transparent glass or tinted glass with heat reflecting film can save 50% of the total cost than replacing heat reflecting glass. The rest can be analogized, for example: the original ordinary insulating glass can be upgraded to heat reflecting or low-emissivity film. Hollow heat-reflective coated glass or hollow low-radiation coated glass.
2. Fast. The existing glass film has a shorter construction period than removing the old glass and replacing it with a new glass, and the operation is simpler.
3. Environmental protection. Replacing glass will generate a lot of construction waste such as broken glass, and will also generate corresponding transportation and landfill costs, resulting in a waste of social resources. The film can use existing glass to upgrade its heat insulation and safety performance.
4. Security. General heat insulation film also has a certain safety enhancement function. At the same time, its safety is better than that of tempered glass in terms of the adhesive (glue) layer glass fragment holding performance, while the safety of professional safety film is stronger.
5. Healthy. The glass film can block 98%~99% of ultraviolet rays. It can also prevent indoor carpets, curtains, fabrics and paints from fading, effectively protect indoor furniture, computers and other office equipment, and extend their service life. Other glass can meet this standard even if it is insulating glass.
6. Lightness. If it is replaced with hollow glass or hollow LOW-E glass, the total weight of the two pieces of glass plus the hollow part will be doubled or more, which will greatly increase the load of the building, and it will inevitably increase the energy consumption of the building itself.
